The Danish Embassy in Accra hosted a delegation of Danish and Ghanaian Companies from the 26th -29th of October 2010. The event, called the Techchange (Technology Exchange) brought together Danish Companies, among these REFTECH, and Ghanaian companies within the fishery sector.

The main event, which took place at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel on the 27th of October 2010, was launched by His Royal Highness, Prince Joachim of Denmark, the Danish Ambassador in Ghana and the Ministry of Agriculture in Ghana.

The purpose of the TechChange event was to create a forum that brings together a wide range of industry players within the fisheries sector from Denmark and Ghana. The TechChange is based on the Danida Business-to-Business (B2B) Programme which has the objective of enhancing partnerships hence they will contribute to poverty reduction by promoting economic and enterprise growth through long term sustainable partnerships.
It is expected that, the exchange of ideas between the Danish and Ghanaian companies at the event, should ultimately lead to the transfer of technology, knowledge and skills from Danish companies to Ghanaian companies, leading to the establishment of Business-to-Business cooperation supported by the Danish Embassy in Accra.

Here at REFTECH the event has already been a great success and is generating a lot of interest and inquiries.
